The Basics of Life Storehouse is a ministry of First Baptist Church.  Director Harold Pettit has made this an effective ministry that has helped people throughout Anderson County, and others needing help on their way through town.

The Storehouse keeps food on hand and helps people with immediate food needs, and on occasion helps people with other needs.  Harold Pettit recognized that there are many people who are not interested in just taking a handout for food.  Some people would rather pay something, than nothing.  After some research, the Storehouse Ministry has partnered with the Angel Food Ministry, out of Monroe, GA.

Once a month, members of First Baptist Church and other congregations unload a tractor-trailer full of palletes, fill boxes of food and distribute to those who ordered food.
